National Nutrition Month®
It is National Nutrition Month®! The goal of this annual observance is to educate the public on making informed food choices and developing healthful eating and physical activity habits. Each year, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics creates a unique campaign and this year the theme is Personalize your Plate.
This month is the perfect time to teach your employees, family members, and community that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to nutrition and health. We are all unique with different bodies, goals, backgrounds and tastes, which is why it is so important to personalize your approach to nutrition!
Weekly Goals
Just like in previous years, this campaign is broken down into four specific goals for each week. Keep reading to learn more!
Week 1: Eat a variety of nutritious foods each day!
Week 2: Plan your meals each week to help you shop and meal prep accordingly.
Week 3: Learn new skills to help you create delicious and healthy meals.
Week 4: Consult a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and allow them to help you create a personalized plan!
